organizeaza in perioada 1-28 August 2011
a 5-a editie a Surgery Summer Camp
adresata studentilor medicinisti interesati de chirurgie.
Instructor principal este Profesor Doctor Vasile Sarbu, medic primar chirurg, seful Catedrei de Chirurgie a Facultatii de Medicina, Universitatea "Ovidius", Constanta.
Aceste workshop-uri ofera participantilor posibilitatea de a deprinde tehnici chirurgicale de baza, de a-si evalua calitatile si a se decide daca vor urma sau nu o cariera chirurgicala, cu scopul de a intra in rezidentiat bine pregatiti, atat din punct de vedere teoretic cat si practic.
In acelasi timp, se doreste crearea unei atmosfere relaxate dar profesioniste, care sa ajute la indeplinirea scopurilor educationale, si in care studentii medicinisti sa cunoasca alti colegi din centre universitare din toata tara, sa lucreze in echipa, sa puna bazele unor prietenii, care sa duca la viitoare colaborari in realizarea unor proiecte nationale.

• Tipuri de suturi
• Bandaje si pansamente
• Manevre chirurgicale de baza (paracenteza, toracocenteza, montarea tubului de dren, tusee rectal si vaginal, sondajul nazo-gastric, cateterizarea urinara)
• Ligaturi hemostatice
• Anastomoze intestinale
• Notiuni de suturi vasculare
• Reconstructia arteriala si anastomozele vasculare
• Notiuni de laparoscopie
Cazarea este asigurata de Universitatea "Ovidius" din Constanta, in camere cu 3 paturi si baie in camera. Caminul se afla pe Bvd. Mamaia, aproape de intrarea in statiunea Mamaia.
Micul dejun si pranzul sunt asigurate de o firma de catering.
Cursurile au loc in fiecare zi in laboratoarele Facultatii de Medicina din Aleea Universitatii nr. 1 (Campus, corp B).

Metodologie
Fiecare curs consta in 6 module (1 modul pe zi) cu durata de aproximativ 5 ore. Modulele incep lunea si se termina sambata.
Fiecare modul are o parte teoretica sustinuta de trainerii SSCR. Acestia vor aduce informatii aditionale celor din prezentare si vor angaja participantii in discutii pe tema respectiva.
Partea teoretica este completata de o parte practica ce consta in demonstratii ale instructorului principal la masa centrala de lucru. Indicatiile acestuia sunt urmarite pas cu pas de participanti care vor lucra la mesele lor. Demonstratiile sunt filmate si prezentate in timp real.
Dat fiind faptul ca in chirurgie este nevoie de munca de echipa, cei 20 de participanti sunt asezati pe perechi la 10 mese de lucru. Fiecare participant va primi o trusa de chirurgie care consta in: bisturiu, pensa anatomica, pensa chirurgicala, 2 pense Pean, o pensa Kocher, portac, foarfeca de disectie, foarfeca de fire, ace, fire de sutura, manusi de examinare.
Trainerii vor sta printre participanti, urmarindu-i si ajutandu-i in realizarea manevrelor prezentate. Fiecare tehnica este repetata pana ce toti participantii se obisnuiesc cu ea, apoi se trece la tehnica urmatoare.
Rules & Regulations:
Article I - Conditions for participation:
- The participants will be chosen from the students who attend any Medical Faculty in Romania or abroad, who have completed at least 2 years of study;
- The participants must have completed the application form to all its demands, without omitting any field and without giving false information, at least three weeks before the beginning of the camp;
- The participants must have paid the fee after being confirmed to have obtained a place at the workshop;
- The participants are required to agree to respect this regulation and accept that in case of major deviations they will bear the consequences of Article 5;
Article II - Participation in the surgical techniques worshop
- Participation in all 6 modules is compulsory;
- The absence from a module can be accepted only on the basis of serious reasons;
- Participants shall strictly comply to the programme of the workshop;
- The participants will wear a surgery room attire (surgical costume);
- The participants will comply with the rules of safety presented in the first day of class. The organizers are not responsible for any accidents which may occur during handling of surgical instruments;
- The participants will display an appropriate conduct, they will maintain the work tables clean and will not deteriorate furniture, surgical instruments or simulators;
- Taking materials or surgical instruments outside the laboratory is strictly forbidden;
Article III. Accommodation and meals
- Participants will stay at the students' hostel of the University "Ovidius" of Constanta located close to the place were the courses will be held.
- The rooms will be distributed according to the given conditions, taking into account participants' preferences.
- The participants will display an appropriate conduct and will respect the rules of students' hostel.
- Breakfast and lunch is included in the fee and will be provided by catering.
Article IV. Social Programme
- Participants will be able to take part to the social programme organized by the ASMTMC students after the ending of the courses.
- The social programme is not mandatory.
- Participants can spend their free time after the end of a module until the next module however they please, but they oblige not to have activities that could affect their participation in good conditions at the workshop.
Article V. Other
- If any of the students wishes to withdraw his/her participation, SSCR must be notified at least 7 days before the start date of the workshop. SSCR will refund the fee, less 25%. If the 7 days period is not respected the fee will not be refunded.
- If any of the participants does not comply with current regulations, the sanctions can vary from loss of accomodation to denial of the certificate of participation;
Taxa
Taxa de participare este de 500 RON pentru membrii SSCR, respectiv 580 RON pentru non-membri.
Taxa se va achita numai dupa confirmarea acceptarii ca participant.
Taxa acopera:
- Participarea la cursurile teoretice si practice
- Cazarea in caminul Facultatii de Medicina din Constanta
- Geanta de workshop
- Micul dejun si pranzul
- Consumabilele cursului (fire de sutura, ace, lame de bisturiu, manusi, etc.)
- Participarea la festivitatile de deschidere si incheiere.
Daca un student doreste sa-si retraga participarea trebuie sa anunte reprezentantii SSCR cu cel putin 7 zile inainte de inceperea workshop-ului. SSCR va returna 75% din valoarea taxei. Daca perioada de 7 zile nu este respectata taxa nu va fi returnata.
Inscriere
Inscrierile se inchid pe data de 3 iulie, ora 23:59.
